Privacy Policy

Last updated October 13, 2026

This policy explains what personal information ARTWRK collects, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It covers the ARTWRK website at artwrkstudio.com, the ARTWRK web app, and the ARTWRK apps for iPhone and Android. The apps show this same policy.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not use your information or your work to train artificial intelligence models.

Who we are

ARTWRK is run by ARTWRK Studio ("ARTWRK", "we", "us"). ARTWRK is a marketplace where clients and brands hire verified human creatives, buy their work and merch, and collaborate on projects. ARTWRK Studio is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Information you give us

  • Account details. Your email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), the display name you choose, your profile photo, and your confirmation that you are 18 or older.
  • Legal name. Your first and last name, which we ask for when you hire a creator, post a brief or check out, so contracts, receipts and tax records are accurate.
  • Birthday. Only if you choose to see mature (18+) work, or if you share it when signing in with Google or Facebook. We use it to confirm your age and never show it to anyone.
  • Creator profiles and applications. Your bio, headline, location, disciplines, portfolio pieces, works in progress, links to your social accounts, prices, listings and availability.
  • Creator verification. To earn the verified badge, creators complete an identity check run by Stripe Identity, which may ask for a photo ID and a selfie. ARTWRK receives the result, not a copy of your ID. Creators also send process evidence, such as sketches, layers or timelapses, so our team can confirm the work is made by a person.
  • Brand and studio accounts. The company name, website, team members and their roles, and billing details.
  • Payments and payouts. Card payments, wallet top-ups and creator payouts are handled by Stripe. ARTWRK sees only details like the card brand, the last four digits, and whether a payout account is verified. Stripe collects the identity and tax information it needs to pay creators and issue tax forms.
  • Shipping details. The name, address and phone number for merch orders.
  • What you create on ARTWRK. Messages, files, briefs, quotes, proposals, deliveries, reviews, saved lists, reports and support conversations.
  • Signed documents. NDAs, agreements and statements you sign on ARTWRK, with your typed signature, the time, and the IP address and device you signed from.
  • Alerts and newsletter. Your email address and the topics you choose when you ask to hear about launches, creators or the newsletter.

Signing in with Google, Apple or Facebook

You can sign up or sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook instead of a password, and link Facebook, Instagram or Google accounts to your ARTWRK account from Account, Linked accounts. You choose what each service shares, and you can unlink it at any time.

Google

We receive your Google account ID, name, email address and profile photo. If your birthday is requested, Google asks for your permission first. See Google user data for the full details.

Apple

We receive your Apple ID user identifier, your name (only the first time you sign in), and your email address, which may be a private relay address if you choose Hide My Email. We keep a token from Apple only so we can end ARTWRK's access to your Apple ID when you unlink it or delete your account, as Apple requires.

Facebook

We receive your Facebook user ID, name, email address, profile photo and profile link. With your permission we may also receive your birthday, the Pages you like, and, for creators, the Pages you manage. We use liked Pages only to show you creators on ARTWRK whose Pages you follow. We don't keep the list of Pages you like. We keep the Pages a creator manages so their fans can find them.

Instagram

Creators can link Instagram professional accounts. We receive the account ID, username, name, profile photo and profile link, and use them to show the account on your profile and to help us review creator applications.

Rules for every service

  • We never post to your accounts, read your private messages, or see your passwords for those services.
  • A matching email address never signs you in to someone else's account. An existing ARTWRK account must link a service from Account, Linked accounts before it can sign in with it.
  • A photo from a linked service only fills an empty ARTWRK profile photo. It never replaces one you set.
  • We don't store access tokens from Google, Facebook or Instagram after we have read your profile.

Google user data

This section explains exactly how ARTWRK handles information we receive from Google when you use Sign in with Google or link a Google account.

What we access

  • Your basic profile through the openid, email and profile scopes: your Google account ID, name, email address, whether the email is verified, and your profile photo.
  • Your birthday, through the user.birthday.read scope, only when ARTWRK asks for it at sign-up. Google shows you this request and you can decline it.

We do not access your Gmail, contacts, calendar, Drive files, or any other Google data.

How we use it

  • Your Google account ID and email address create your ARTWRK account and sign you in.
  • Your name fills in your first and last name, which you can change.
  • Your profile photo becomes your ARTWRK profile photo only if you don't already have one.
  • Your birthday confirms that you are 18 or older and lets you see mature work. If it shows you are under 18, we don't create the account.

We use Google user data only to provide these sign-in and account features you can see in ARTWRK. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

How we store and protect it

We store your Google account ID, name, email address, photo link and birthday (if shared) in our database, encrypted in transit and at rest, with access limited to staff who need it to support your account. We don't keep your Google access token after we have read your profile.

Who we share it with

We don't share Google user data with anyone except the service providers that host and run ARTWRK on our behalf, and only as needed to provide ARTWRK, or when the law requires it. The name and photo on your ARTWRK profile can be seen by other people on ARTWRK, as described in What other people can see. We never show your email address or birthday to other users.

How to remove it

Unlink Google from Account, Linked accounts in the app, and you can also remove ARTWRK's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/connections. Deleting your ARTWRK account removes the link and the Google information we stored, as described in Deleting your account and data.

Limited Use

ARTWRK's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and app details. Your device type, operating system, app version, browser and language.
  • Usage and logs. Pages and screens you open, searches, and the times you sign in, kept in our own server logs. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
  • IP address. Used for security, fraud checks, approximate location for sales tax, and as a record when you accept the terms or sign a document.
  • Crash and error reports. When something breaks, the app and website send a report to Sentry with technical details about the error.
  • Push notification tokens. If you allow notifications, your device gives us a token so we can send them through Expo, Apple and Google.

How we use it

  • To run the marketplace: accounts, profiles, discovery, projects, orders, payments, payouts, shipping, documents and reviews.
  • To verify creators and approve brand and studio accounts.
  • To keep people safe: preventing fraud, detecting requests to pay outside ARTWRK, enforcing our community guidelines, and reviewing disputes, reports and copyright notices.
  • To confirm age and blur mature work for people who haven't chosen to see it.
  • To send account, security, order and project messages, and the alerts and newsletter you sign up for.
  • To answer support requests.
  • To keep accounting, tax and legal records.
  • To fix problems and improve ARTWRK, using our logs, error reports and totals that don't identify you.

What other people can see

  • Everyone, including visitors who aren't signed in, can see creator profiles, portfolios, listings, shop products and published reviews. Some creators are unlisted, which keeps them out of search and browsing.
  • The people you work with see your display name, profile photo, and what you share in a project, such as your brief, messages and files. Creators see your legal name and shipping details when they need them for an order.
  • Brand teammates see the briefs, projects and messages of their brand workspace.
  • Your email address, birthday, payment details and linked account details are never shown to other users.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as described here.

  • Other users, as described in What other people can see.
  • Stripe, for payments, payouts, the ARTWRK Wallet, sales tax and creator identity checks.
  • Laravel Cloud and its cloud storage, which host our servers, database and files.
  • SendLayer, which delivers our emails.
  • Mailchimp, which sends the newsletter and launch alerts you sign up for. We send it your email address and the topics you chose.
  • Expo, Apple and Google, which deliver push notifications.
  • Sentry, which receives crash and error reports.
  • Shippo, shipping carriers and our merch manufacturers, which receive the name and address on a merch order so it can be made and delivered.
  • Google, Apple and Meta, only to complete a sign-in or account link you start, and to end ARTWRK's access when you unlink.
  • Professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of people on ARTWRK.
  • A buyer or successor, if ARTWRK is merged, sold or reorganized. This policy would continue to apply to your information.

Our service providers may use your information only to provide their service to ARTWRK. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

Messages, files and safety

Messages and files in projects are stored so both sides have a record of what was agreed and delivered. Messages are checked automatically for requests to pay outside ARTWRK and for sharing contact details to avoid fees. ARTWRK staff may read messages and files during a dispute, a safety report, a copyright notice, or a support request you open. Uploads may be scanned for viruses, and portfolio images may be shown with a watermark.

Emails, notifications and the newsletter

  • Account and security emails, such as email verification, password resets and receipts, are part of using ARTWRK and can't be turned off.
  • Project, order and activity notifications can be turned on or off in Account, Notifications.
  • Push notifications can be turned off in your device settings at any time.
  • The newsletter and launch alerts are only sent if you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Cookies

The website and web app use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage:

  • To keep you signed in and protect forms from forgery.
  • To remember a device you trust, so two-step sign-in doesn't ask for a code every time.
  • To remember your mature content choice when you aren't signed in.
  • To let preview visitors in while ARTWRK is in coming soon or maintenance mode.

We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, but you may need to sign in again.

How long we keep it

  • Account and profile information: while your account is open.
  • Signed documents and the record of who signed them: for the life of the project, plus 2 years.
  • Payment, payout and tax records: as long as the law requires, usually 7 years.
  • Messages and project files: while the project's accounts are open, so both sides keep their record. After you delete your account, messages you sent stay in the other person's project without your name.
  • Creator verification results and process evidence: while the creator account is open.
  • Server logs and error reports: for a limited time, then deleted.
  • Newsletter and alert sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or delete your account.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account in the app or web app from Account, Delete account. Here's what happens:

  • You are signed out everywhere right away, and the account is deleted after 14 days. Signing in before then cancels the deletion.
  • Open projects, and brand workspaces where you are the only admin, need to be finished or handed over first, so nobody loses money or work.
  • When the account is deleted, we remove your name, email address, password, birthday, profile photo, two-step sign-in, linked Google, Apple, Facebook and Instagram accounts, saved lists and cart, and take you off our newsletter and alerts. Creator profiles, portfolios and listings are taken down.
  • We keep the records the law or accounting needs, such as payments, tax records and signed documents, without your name or email, for the periods in How long we keep it.

If you can't sign in, or you want us to delete information without closing your account, email [email protected] from the email address on the account. This also applies to information we received from Google, Apple, Facebook or Instagram. We'll confirm when it's done.

Your choices and rights

  • See and correct. You can see and edit your profile, legal name and settings at any time. Your birthday can be changed through support.
  • Get a copy. Email us to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete. Delete your account as described above, or ask us to delete specific information.
  • Unlink. Unlink Google, Apple, Facebook or Instagram from Account, Linked accounts.
  • Opt out. Turn off notifications, and unsubscribe from the newsletter and alerts.

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what we collect, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information. We don't sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll confirm your identity before acting, you may use an authorized agent, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights. If we turn down your request, you can reply to ask us to look at it again.

Age

ARTWRK is only for people 18 and older. Everyone confirms their age when they sign up, and we don't create an account when a birthday shared by Google or Facebook shows someone is under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete their information. If you think a minor is using ARTWRK, please tell us at [email protected].

Security

We encrypt information in transit and at rest, store passwords only as secure hashes, keep private files in storage that can only be opened through short-lived links, limit staff access to what each role needs, record staff actions, and offer two-step sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and turn on two-step sign-in. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Where your information is stored

ARTWRK is available in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. Some of our service providers may process it in other countries, with protections required by law.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect, and may ask you to review it again.
